This is the latest in my whimsical lampshade series. It would equally suit the young and the young at heart! Filled with lots of cute creatures and a unique outback Aussie theme. Every time you look at this design there are more delights to smile over! And hardly a flower in sight, so this will have broad appeal to those less florally inclined.
The instructions include the full list of materials, photographs including close-up colour photos, all drawings, plus instructions on how to attach the finished embroidery to a metal-framed lampshade. The design is approximately 47cm (18 inches) by 20cm (8 inches). You can add to the design by repeating the grass and rocks, or shorten it by omitting elements.
Please note that a general knowledge of embroidery stitches is assumed.
You can also buy a shade kit that fits this design. These shade kits have been put together especially to fit my children’s lampshade sets. They are available to purchase from Amore Lampshades. I recommend using 20” and 12” stretcher bars while stitching This design is currently available as a printed panel, charm pack and paper instructions, or as a digital download. If you purchase the digital download, you do not receive anything in the post.

The kit includes the fabric panel with the design printed on it, so you are ready to start stitching! It also includes a charm pack, which contains the little things (as listed below). It does NOT include the threads. It is a partial kit, so you can use your own stash of threads, or buy the threads listed in the materials list. I have also listed alternative threads in a conversion chart in the instructions.
The last photo shows exactly what you get in the kit.
Here is what you get:
The linen-cotton blend fabric, with the design printed on it. The fabric provided is larger than required, to accommodate different-sized lampshade frames, or to make your Rock Wallabies into whatever you heart desires. Each panel is 55cm (22 inches) by 35cm (14 inches).
The paper instructions, which include the full list of materials, full instructions including close-up colour photographs, printed on quality paper.
Charm Pack, which includes brown felt, black felt, faux suede, buttons, three specialty threads, plus all beads required to complete the design.
PLEASE NOTE that the lampshade and threads are NOT included.
Once your item is shipped, I will send you an email with the tracking number. Please allow at least 4 weeks for overseas orders and up to one week for Australian customers. Please allow extra time close to holiday periods. Please note that any taxes payable by law on entering your country are the customer’s responsibility.
Digital Download Information:
This pattern is in PDF format. You do NOT receive anything in the post. The digital file will be sent in PDF format as an attachment, to the email address provided by you in your purchase, within 24 hours of purchase.
You then print the PDF file for your personal use. Please check your printer settings before printing to ensure the design prints at the actual size.
