I have created this design to be stitched to a lampshade, but it can also be framed. This is the second in my series of children’s lampshade designs.

Sunbeam’s characters bustle about with their daily chores; a grasshopper changes his pace and takes a ride on a snail, a fairy heralds the morning sun on golden trumpet, and happy bees dance amongst the blossoms. Not to mention picnicking ants, and daddy mouse amusing his little darlings. Oh, but that’s not all! Every time you look at this design there are more delights to smile over!

Purchasing the Printed Panel, Paper Instructions and Charm Pack:
PLEASE NOTE that the lampshade and threads are NOT included. You are NOT buying a lampshade. You are buying instructions and a printed fabric panel to make your own lampshade. Instructions are in English only.

Here is what you get:
- The linen-cotton blend fabric, with the design printed on it.
The fabric provided is larger than required, to accommodate different-sized lampshade frames, or to make your Starlight into whatever you heart desires. Each panel is 55cm (22 inches) by 35cm (14 inches).
The full colour paper instructions, which include the full list of materials, full instructions including close-up colour photographs.
Charm pack which includes all beads, sequins, metal music notes, entomology pins, three Liberty Tana Lawn squares, goat’s hair, Boho buttons, tiny brown buttons.
The design measures approximately 43cm (17 inches) by 22cm (8 1/2 inches). You can add to the design by repeating design elements, or shorten it by omitting elements.
The instructions include the full list of materials, photographs including close-up colour photos, all drawings, plus instructions on how to attach the finished embroidery to a metal-framed lampshade.
Please note that a general knowledge of embroidery stitches is assumed.
You can also buy a shade kit that fits this design. These shade kits have been put together especially to fit my children’s lampshade sets. They are available to purchase from Amore Lampshades. I recommend using 20” and 12” stretcher bars while stitching. This design is currently available as a printed panel, charm pack and paper instructions, or as a digital download.

The kit includes the fabric panel with the design printed on it, so you are ready to start stitching! It also includes a charm pack, which contains the little things (as listed above). It does NOT include the threads. It is a partial kit, so you can use your own stash of threads, or buy the threads listed in the materials list.

The file includes the instructions for the complete design; with photos, close-up photos, detailed instructions, materials list and drawings. This pattern is in PDF format. You do NOT receive anything in the post. The digital file will be sent in PDF format as an attachment, to the email address provided by you in your purchase, within 24 hours of purchase.
You then print the PDF file for your personal use. Please check your printer settings before printing to ensure the design prints at the actual size.
You may sell any items made using my patterns, but you may not sell, lend or borrow copies, paper or digital, of my patterns.
