Embroider this delightful design on fine white linen. Then stitch it onto a glass tube, and add some tea light candles!
This elegant original design by me utilises some unusual stitches in the tradition of cutwork, drawn threadwork, and Schwalm embroidery. They are not difficult, however, a general knowledge of embroidery is assumed.
It can be embroidered then wrapped and stitched to a glass tea light tube, a metal-framed lampshade, or framed in one piece for a unique wall art.
The design measures approximately 17cm (6.5 inches) by 16cm (6 inches). I used a glass tube that is 38cm (15”) circumference and 17cm (6.75”) tall, straight-sided. Add to the design by repeating the daisies for a larger tube (or lampshade frame).
At the moment, this design is only available as a PDF. The file includes the instructions for the complete design; with photos, close-up photos, detailed instructions, materials list and drawings.
